Michael Martyn is the Founder and Managing Principal of SISU Consulting Group. Mike has extensive experience over a broad spectrum of service-based and manufacturing environments, and has held numerous senior-level executive positions. Driven by the belief that lasting results come from aggressively taking action and learning through calculated mistakes, Mike’s approach may best be described as “people focused and results driven.”
Based on his work successfully turning around companies in a variety of industries, Mike has developed a unique management approach: teach organizations how to create urgency around change initiatives, deploy a targeted vision, identify and improve systemic problems, and quickly take action to create daily enterprise-wide innovation firmly rooted in business results. Driven by his commitment to partner with each of his clients and his guarantee to deliver results, Mike’s work ranges from developing leaders through a “learn-do-improve” model, to creating custom training materials aimed at affecting behavioral change.
In addition to his work with clients, Mike is on the Board of Governors and the Executive Director of the Western Region of the Shingo Prize for Operational Excellence, a non-profit organization established to promote lean enterprise awareness and recognize organizations in Oregon, Washington and California who achieve world-class status. Mike received his Bachelors of Arts in Economics and English at Reed College and a Masters of Business Administration at Portland State University.
